April 11, 2005 - Hello, my name is IGN Dreamcast. You might remember me from the days when Sega made game hardware and was commanded by the likes of Bernie Stolar, Peter Moore and Charles Belfield.

Alas, no one reads me anymore. It feels like I haven't been looked at by a gamer, neither hardcore nor mainstream, for months. I do believe, in fact, that the only traffic I get these days is from people who make a mistake when trying to access the DS channel.

And I don't blame the readers. No, the blame lays squarely on the editors of IGN.com. These editors conspire to hide the fact that the Dreamcast is still alive and well, and fail to put anything of interest into my back end. So why should anyone want to read me?

My cold isolation looks like it will continue forever. Last week saw an actual Dreamcast release in Japan, and what does IGN do? Nothing! Absolutely nothing! Where are the impressions? How about the movies and screenshots? Am I so insignificant that you can't pick up a copy of my latest import and deliver just a few hundred words? Have you forgotten all the good times I brought you, IGN editors, during that first jag-filled year of PS2 releases and that last blurry year of N64 releases?

In protest of the lack of attention, I've made some changes to this week's "Now Playing in Japan," which covers imports that were released between 4/4 and 4/10.

The funny thing was, IGN were extreme Dreamcast fanboys back in the day. Ah well.
