I'm not the guy to ask for anything Sony. I just don't know :) Now ask about a Sega console or 360 or even NEC and I can help.

Capsule hotels are the cheapest places to rent if you want to live day to day, else you can find cheap business hotels, although if you are there for more then a few weeks then renting an apartment might work out cheaper...

I'll be in Japan around May, and will be going to Tokyo a few times during then (I'll be living in Ibaraki) so drop me a PM during then.

Jam sounds awesome lets hook up!
And I'll definitely go to that osaka game bar guys so if anyone else wants to join me holla!

I'll get some more pics for the group.

I'll be in Osaka for about 5 or so days so maybe an apartment would be better same with Tokyo thanks for the advice!
Probably better than some hostels huh and about the same price?

Hostel are def. the cheapest option, they'll run you anywhere from 1500-2500 a night. Capsule will probably be around 3000 a night.

Yeah Tatsujin that sounds good as well!
Im searching online and you can get box rooms for £15 a night with shared bathroom - thats fine for me!
what i dont want is a day before interviews i get some loud kids so prefer to go private (and on a budget!)

Shirt every time, doesn't matter if you are applying for a job at McDonalds or at The Franklin Mint, first impressions count. If you can't be arsed to make an effort in your appearance, then the interviewers will wonder if you can be arsed to make an effort with your job.

Well the games industry is a little bit different, with some developers for example going in too dressed up is detrimental because its setting yourself apart from your peers- open collar black shirts for example with a suit and without tie have got me my previous jobs - ive been getting mixed advise for Japan interviews :( some say smart casual (as its games industry) whilst others say full on tie job

Yeah set it up appropriately, you don't need to go in a £1700 Italian suit, but don't turn up in a T-Shirt.

It depends on what company you are applying for, some of the bigger companies will be run by suits and you should wear a full suit and tie, where as some of the smaller companies will be more relaxed and you can wear more casual clothes, however as mentioned before, don't wear t-shirts.

Although I am not applying for a job I am going to meet a number of people within the Game Industry and companies from Nintendo, Konami and Sankyo to Cave, Cavia and Dropwave and I will be going from Jeans and shirt to a full suit, depending on where I am going.

@Legion: Out of pure curiosity, for what kind of Job are you heading into the Game Industrie? And what do you think you can do/serve for such a company?

And yeah, even if you can walk in and out the company with casual clothes once you are employed, as for an interview, there is nothing more safer than the good old full monty suit.

@Jam: What is it again what your doing over here? I ask my self everytime. Sounds so uber great! ;)

Just learn basic business protocol and have some business cards with your resume link on them.

    Production/business development

I think i'll go in with a white shirt and tie to most of them.
Black shirt and tie I guess looks too much like a funeral or Yakuza.
