Coincidentally, that's one of the posters they still had stashed back that I came across. Hutch went from 3 or 4 theatres and a drive-in to one single multiplex in the Mall. I just can't understand how it get's worse an worse every year. Maybe you should take your lady to a true classic, untouched, vintage, greasy burger, diner (like the R&B) and show her how we mid-western folk like to live. Don't think they've changed that place hardly at all besides a paint job since it opened in the 50's. That was the first place I ate at after coming back to Kansas from Japan. First decent cheeseburger I had in a year an a half. They do have some cool original rock memorabilia strew about. Like a poster board ad for James Brown playing in Hutch from god knows when.
They also grow corn in Kansas, right? So make sure to stuff your suitcase with at least 50 ears for good luck.
I've seen them at CD Tradepost very very rarely (mostly junk, only one I've ever bought was Tomb Raider). A couple of the vendors in the flea market should have some but unless they have stocked more, I bought all the worthwhile titles.
Am I the only one that just cannot take this thread seriously? Wanna buy retro games? Go anywhere but Kansas.
Haven't posted on here in ever, maybe I should of logged on a couple days ago. Nice Assembler on the statement, but if its that your looking for there are plenty of osage county people getting busted up here for hiding those fields lol. HCK if you happen to drive up to topeka or manhattan, you could look at vintage stock, and game central. If there are yard sales going on hit them up, I know around my area which is 4 hours from you. They are having city wide garage/yard sales.
HCK, how has your stay been? Message me if you want a beer sometime this week! I know some legit chill places. 1. I wish my friend had gotten his bar arcade opened, but he got sidetracked playing in a NJ band for the time being and is out of town all the time. It was his dream. 2. I'll drive you around wherever if you need transportation! I'm unemployed at the time being and when I'm done with Twin Peaks again I'll have nothing to do. Hah!
Hey, Just got back from Kansas! Found the one store in Hutchinson that had some retro; but they treated retro with no respect at all. And their prices were a little too, but then I'm use to Japan. I'll post some pics.
Yeah, I figured this much; but I don't think that should come as to much of a surprise. If I wasn't pressed for cash, I would have asked to take a look myself and made you a personal offer, if you had something I was interested in. Probably best I didn't indulge my curiosity, otherwise the girlfriend would be breaking whatever I purchased over my head right about now.
