Anyways, having a canadian xbox live account has meant that I have no access to most of the video marketplace. Most importantly I can't access the south park HD episodes! Being a huge fan of south park I was really looking forward to getting some HD Episodes. So I was wondering if indeed there is someway I can make my xbox have access to this content.
I'm guessing (haven't tried for myself) that you simply need to create an XBL account with a US address listed. I did that with a Japanese address so I could download stuff from the Japanese Xbox Marketplace.
Can the same person PM the instructions? I live in Canada and am planning on picking up a 360. Ugh... stupid CRTC.
I use a US address for my XBL account since my credit card is based in the US, but I'm in Japan. It won't let me download either. In the past you could, I snagged 3-4 South Park and Dave Chappelle Shows....but then they stopped it.
Has anyone tried customizing their settings to run off a USA based proxy...? I do that when I want to watch abc streaming shows, etc. anyone try this?
Not going to work. Your 360 itself is marked as a Canadian model. I doubt you could take it to the US and have it work either. They fixed this a few months back in dashboard update regarding locking down the video content.
