I just hate Square Enix and Tri Ace right now. They are asses. Well, first of all: Why the hell doesn't Tri Ace make Star Ocean:The Last Hope for ps2? The "Xbox already had the hardware" is bullshit. They've could have maked Star Ocean: The Last Hope for ps2 too. And what's even worse, I'm pissed of because of Square Enix. When I heared that Final Fantasy XII would come to ps3 only, I fucking cried. I mean seriously, wtf? They've could have made a remake, but nooo, square enix goes and bullshit with everyone. And second reason: Why the fuck did Square Enix argued with Sony anyway? I'm fucking crying because all the good games have passed to Ps3 and Xbox360, and it pisses me off. They're not thinking about the retro-gamers either, and they only think about advancing further and further. So now i've think i've told all I've wanted. I think you all share the same thoughts. If not, then think after a while.
It's the way of the future mate, you'll have to live with it. Anyway, Square Enix games aren't what they used to be so you probably aren't missing much  Yakumo
yeah square-enix isnt the same anymore! but most of there games are sony exclusives so dont expect any final fantasy games to be on the 360, we all wish but it prolly wont happen
If I'd say 'PS2? Get with the times!' would that be considered harsh? Well, anyway; PS2? Get with the the times!
Have you been living under a rock? http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/14/final-fantasy-xiii-coming-to-xbox-360/ and yeah really, what everyone else said, PS2? Get with the times. PS2 still gets RPGs I suggest you play a good Shin Megami Tensei, You'll never touch another square game again.
Yep! That's true! A relief for 360 owners (they already get a lot of stuff anyway like the GTA4 extra content)... FFXIII looks good but im not a fan of the whole futuristic world so ill see if i get it or not!
The 360 is already home to one of the best RPGs ever http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lost_Odyssey If you're an RPG fan and Final Fantasy Fan you're an idiot if you don't have Lost Odyssey
Of course though Lost Odyssey could fit all on one blu-ray if on the PS3. On the 360 they get stacked in the case and you have to leave the 4th disc in a little paper protector. Me and the guys at work are thinking FF XIII will be like Lost Odyssey on the 360, except worse. =P "Insert Monster Disc 3"
Doesn't really bother me that Lost Odyssey came on four discs, It's not like you were having to swap discs regularly, I would rather swap the odd disc here or there than have to pay twice the price for my console. "Insert Monster Disc 3" Didn't realise it was coming out on Amiga.
PS2? Get with the times! The 360 is like RPG city! $200 and you've got a pretty good selection of RPGs already out and new ones to look forward to.
I understand money might be tight...but really. Upgrade from a PS2 man. Sure, it had some great games in its lifetime, and it actually had a looooong lifetime and some companies are still making games for it, but I'd get a 360 if I were you. I also kind of want a PS3, but the 360 right now has more of a varied library IMHO. The 360 is the "PS2" of this gen, IMO. I've stopped liking JRPGs eons ago, well, maybe I'm resting from them anyway , so I'm mainly focused on PC gaming stuff at the moment.
I really don't understand why people complain about the price of the PS3 so much. I have all three consoles, and the 360 just didn't appeal quite as much to me. Okay so you can go out and buy a pro 360 that's $300, wireless adapter costs between $80 and $100, the play and charge kit so you don't have to replace batteries is $20, paying for the online subscription is $50. So really to get as close as possible to what the PS3 has to offer initially you have to pay ~$470 and you have 20GB less of hard drive space, and not able to play HD movies since HD-DVD lost the format war. Of course though you don't get the backwards compatibility with the newer models, but for me it wasn't a problem since my slim PS2 will fit anywhere. I guess for me what the PS3 offered out of the box was the reason I chose it first over the 360. Not trying to start a console war or anything I just wish people would think why the PS3 costs more instead of just looking at the numbers.
About your price pinpointing, Its mostly about the options, Some people dont need a wireless adapter or xbox live. Some people dont care about the play and charge kit(i dont have one), The 360 is supposed to be a gaming console so I never cared when blu ray won.The biggeest thing for me was that With the 360 I could just buy the console then upgrade later, one of the thing I also enjoy with PC's
Agreed... How old is the PS2 now? Damn... I dont mean to sound harsh, but really. And Graciano is right. The Xbox 360 seems to be doing pretty well with RPG's lately. And at $200 for the cheapest version of the console, its the best bet right now.
It's not that i dislike PS3, Technically it is the better console but for me it's all about games. i just prefer the exclusives that 360 gets. I would like all consoles myself but sadly as my 360's disc drive just gave up it looks like the PS3 is on hold for now :-( .
