Just been to the gym with my brother and for a laugh we used the weight/height machine, when i was 18 i was 6 foot 3 1/2 inches tall......and today as im nearing my 30th birthday i am 6 foot 0.7 inches tall!!! Is this normal??
Sounds like you've been standing way too much!! Or you're slowly being crushed by the weight of the world on your shoulders.
Maybe weight lifting has done it?.....or possibly the 5 years i was a bus driver compacting my spine?
Cheers mate, my dad just said the same thing....well what he actually said was "i used to be 7 foot when i was 20 now im 5 foot 11" i sensed sarcasm and lies but you shouldnt really call your dad a lier lol. Im not sure i like this getting older thing, ear hair/nose hair, shrinking (height only ladies) ,grey hairs etc etc
It's 100% normal mate. You do shrink the older you get. I used to be 183cm tall when I was a teenager but now I'm 181 cm tall (I'm 36). Also you are taller and shorter at different times of the day. Seriously, this is no bull shit. In the morning you will always be slightly taller than in the evening. Why? I'm not sure but probably because of your own body weight. I'm sure a bit of googling will bring up the answer. Yakumo
I swear I used to be 6'1", but now I'm apparently 6'0". I'm not even that old - I thought that shit was supposed to happen when you're 50 or 60. Then again, it's a pretty small difference, so I guess it could've just been a mistake, or due to bad posture. Not sure how I'd explain a difference of 3 inches, though. Aging sux.
Re-measured this morning and I'm 6 foot 2 inch, maybe the infrared height sensor thing at the gym is broken?
You are taller in the morning anyway. As you sleep lying down your spine uncompresses back to normal. During the day, your spine compresses a little and you are shorter. http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Why_we_are_taller_in_the_morning_than_in_the_evening
I get ID'd to buy a fucking beer, no joke. Been legally buying beer for almost 7 years now (16=legal age in my home country)! Also am I the only one who has to think of this scene every time this thread title crosses my view? Lol
rofl... i always get id'd at bars. and don't even get me started when i go to Vegas. Security ALWAYS stops me and slaps a wrist band on me so casinos and bars know they checked my id... it's humiliating!!
