Don't import it yet. The machine will be region locked unfortunately.

Region locking. Saw them on display in Akiba last night and they do actually look pretty cool. Doubt I'll be getting one though.

If it were region free, I'd have already preordered on the Internet.

I'm still unsure whether I'll get an american unit, because I'll be pissed off when cool Japanese-only software comes out that I want.

Here's hoping something enables imports right away.

Don't buy one just yet. The import price is ****ing stupid and there is no game to justify it. You're paying almost 2x markup because you're a sucker.

I plan to import but holding off till the fall when either I or someone I know can pick one up during a trip to japan. =P

    -edit-
Region locking is stupid. While I can't say my issue means crap to nintendo but because of this I won't be buying a unit locally nor will I buy any games locally either because I can't ****ing play them. Why do I need a jpn unit? Any of the software I actually give a damn about wont be leaving japan.
