I just read some tutorials on Numbers 08 and I guess I'll just try to get used to it. Actually I am currently experiencing the same progress that I did with almost any other Apple program (like iTunes, Mail):

1stly: SHOCK! How the hell does this work? It's so f*cking different!

2ndly: Omg, that's how? Well, gotta get used to it.

3rdly: Wow yeah, Apple is teh easy comfortable way to go!

Okay, I'm still not 100% convinced by iTunes, but with most OSX applications I have made great progress appreciating them. And so I do with Numbers. Thanks anyway :D

I'm using a Magic Mouse - me has right button :p

I want to edit my old collection.xls file with Apple's "Numbers" program. I do not have any problems opening the file, but it looks kinda intolerable:

The things on the left were the former areas in excel. I just want it to look like excel again... so I have a giant grid that I can edit just like a want. And I'm too much of an Apple noob to find out anything on my own :p

Why not use Excel 08 for Mac?

right-click, err oh wait, that's right, you cannot right click on a mac...

    I'm just kidding.

Can't you do a 'save-as' in Apple's Numbers program? You might be able to save it into other, more universal formats (.csv, etc.).
