I liked the Xbox 360 version of Ghostbusters! I would have got the PC version if I knew it was on PC at the time.

Ghostbusters on PC PS3 and Xbox 360 is godlike

the Wii version is SO dumbed down, entire cut scenes are missing, the game play isn't the same, and trapping the ghosts is missing the entire slam and lower process.

watch ghostbusters, watch the hotel scene when they lower slimer into the trap.

In 360/ps3/PC version you lower the ghosts into the trap, by wranlging them. They can get away, they go left, you gotta pull right.

The wii version? They get sucked into the trap like it's a fucking vaccume.

I was excited for teh wii version, wanted to use the wiimote and feel like i'm actually wrangling the ghosts...NOPE.

I have plenty of Wii games, and have to say the Nintendo-made games are by far the best. Games like Super Paper Mario, Wario Ware etc. use the Wii hardware far better than any third party games. HOTD Overkill is indeed great, I love light gun games and the fact that they're actually getting made again thanks to the Wii. I've been waiting for MadWorld to hit the bargain bins because there supposedly isn't much play value.

That's the biggest problem with the Wii: even the best games don't have the same kind of play value as games on 360 or PS3. For example, I've played Forza 3 for hours now and I've still only scratched the surface really. The only game I can think of for the Wii that has the same kind of longevity is SSBB. Most of the good Wii games you play through once and never touch again.

Also, the Sega-Nintendo rivalry is meaningless nowadays, since Sega died along with the Dreamcast. They're not even a shadow of what they used to be, so saying you prefer Sega games in the present is pointless.

Not surprising that publishers would want to stay away from this one, considering how much of a huge failure it was on the Wii. I didn't even think it was that great of a game really: just like Killer7, I loved the concept and art style but found the gameplay to be plaqued by stupid design choices.

But it was a huge falure on the Wii becuase the Wii is the Family System.

I don't see the port being a million seller but It should sell decently enough amongst 360 and ps3 owners.

It will be interesting to see how many actually pick it up, as before they announced this i heard quite frequently people moaning online saying they wish it was on 360/ps3.

Now that everyones wish has been granted i wonder how many will actually put their money where their mouth is, i have a funny feeling it's going to be mostly ignored due to the stigma of been a wii title.

Depends on who picks it up. Worse comes to worse I'll grab the import when I get my PS3 next year.

    This.

This also. Some days I just wish EA would buy Sega so their inevitable closure would be that much closer.

Lionhead? Do you know who Peter Molyneux is GoH?

Average Peter Molyneux quote "I beat Ninja Gaiden on hard and it was easy"

to back track a little on the Ghostbusters Wii being neutured...it at least had co-op campaign. The PS3/360 version had Co-Op multiplayer (not campaign though) and PC...had none.

Man, that's such an old excuse for bad sales. Remember, RE4 and Umbrella Chronicles sold over a million copies worldwide.

I thought everyone just seemed to forget this game ever existed, you know, like what happens to most games that aren't big names. Haven't heard anyone even mention it in like a year.

    And he's right you know.

Given his visionary status He's the only person that isn't Yu Suzuki I'd Trust in finishing Shenmue's Saga.

An Established Franchise will sell copies

Have you played the Wii version? The wrangling mechanic is different, simply because it uses the Wiimote to function, but it's there. You can't just zap a ghost and toss it into the trap. You have to wear it down with the wrangling and keep it from escaping before sucking it into a trap.

I doubt he has played the Wii version or if he has only for 5 minutes. The Wii version is by far the most playable. Also some of the levels are a lot more fun than the 360 / PS3 versions. Big deal if there are a few missing scenes. THe over all game is far more fun. This is coming from someone who played the hell out of both versions.

I OWN the Wii version. And I played through it. The wrangling into teh trap is different. I'm not talking about the SLAMMING to wear it down, I'm talking about the actual lowering into the trap.

really? The Wii version with a condensed plot is more playable? Hardly.

Even when you compare the levels, I don't think it's correct to say that the Wii has missing levels so much as it has different levels. Some are similar across the two (such as the library) while others are completely different.

Personally I loved the realistic graphics of the 360 version, but from a gameplay perspective I found the Wii version to be more immersive.

My "dream" version of the game would have the Wii controls with the 360 graphics.
