In puerto rico, portables and consoles cost the same!

    I'm wondering if Puerto Rico wasn't allotted a high number of PSPgo units, so retailers have just a few, so some are marking them up.
    That's my guess.

    the profit margin on hardware is already really low and retailers don't make money selling games for the psp go, because its download only.
    so they mark it up to make a decent profit, otherwise they could just stop selling the psp go altogether.

    The price difference is almost the same in the UK too..

    When I was growing up down there, Gameboys used to cost almost the same as the SNES.

    It's nothing new.
