Have we ever gotten any proper information regarding this game? This game seems to be non-existent on the Internet, except from the Unseen64 article and a semi-broken site archive. In addition, there was a one level tech demo which was released publicly (https://mega.nz/#!r082nZII!V0TdcWYlkQJlWRUgp-7wcWj57fh5gjMw8AXI1s99idY), but I've never seen anyone ever play it (does it even function?). Unseen64: https://www.unseen64.net/2013/10/03/incorporated-pc-x360-tech-demo-cancelled/ Wayback Machine: https://web.archive.org/web/20120301000000*/http://www.incorporated-game.com/
Runs well in Windows 7 64. Had to set the Reality.exe to Windows XP compat mode. Not much to do in the tech demo other than play with graphics options and explore one city street, but interesting regardless.
What is cool are the downloadable character animations and mp3 music on the archive.org pages. Too bad the tech demo didn't have the animations of the enemies working by then, but cool to see them in the AVI files. At least you can see what it was supposed to be like. By the way, thanks for sharing this info. Never heard of it before.
Yeah, I checked it out myself. The game apparently started as a Half-Life 2 mod, then a Far Cry mod, moving to the Reality Engine afterwards to become an indie game. I've found a teaser for the Far Cry version and several pieces of concept art which do not appear in the wayback machine version of the website. Interested in them?
https://sites.google.com/view/thevaultproject/incorporated I've placed all content I've found from this game here.
I misunderstood. I thought I had read there was a playable Far Cry mod in the wild. So it's just a video?
I told you that I found a teaser trailer of the Far Cry version and concept art, not a Far Cry build - that build seems to not have been archived. Found the ModDB page, no build: http://www.moddb.com/mods/incorporated/images/bulpup-handgun-render-a#imagebox
So I contacted moddb.com to see if they had or could recover a file for the INCorporated Far Cry mod and they were very friendly and did not see any record of there ever being a file. Which makes me wonder if that mod was actually ever released to the public. I would guess they just used the Far Cry engine to make that video and that was it.
An early version was released to the public (tech demo #1), but all the links (I should say, link) are dead. The name was "INCorporated_TechDemo_20050316_Setup.exe", making it about one month older than the second tech demo on Reality Engine. Apparently the reason they quit Source is because of the SDK taking time to release? Anyways I think I've found a developer's email, I'll try and get something.
I see. Thanks for the info. I tried. I hate it when files are lost like this. I am sure it exists somewhere. Look forward to seeing what you find out.
The demo was hosted here, the download is gone however: http://www.nofrag.com/fichiers/inc/972/ Another dead link (just redirects now): http://mirrors-av.club-internet.fr/pub/games/nofrag/farcry/mods/incorporated/demos/INCorporated_TechDemo_20050316_Setup.exe
I noticed your comments over at Unseen64. What about that Manus Freedom guy who claims he has all the assets? Have you been able to contact him or leave a request underneath his comment at least?
I am enjoying reading all about the development of this game over at gamekult once translated through Google Translate. https://www.gamekult.com/jeux/incorporated-64697/news.html
Sadly it appears that he uses a different email now, or he is ignoring me. It seems that we will never find out why this was cancelled.
