No Idea, but I did find this, haha : "AD098-133 Kevin‚³‚ñÂk‰ÂE23ÂÃŽÂlÂ@ranmaddict@nettrip.net [1]PCƒGƒ“ƒWƒ“Â@[2]—¼“ÂÂ@[3]CD-DAÂ@[4]Vectrex [5]More pictures please! Shashin Kudasai! [6]It is very hard for americans who like Japanese games. There are no pictures or engish information. I do not know what a sc3000 is, but I want to know! [ÂìŽÃ’‚©‚çˆÃªŒÂ¾]“o˜^Âì‹Ã†’†" Looks pretty ancient! A time when ASSEMbler did not know what a SC3000 was!!
Is this it? : From here : http://assembler.org/ Name of original site : ASMBLR URL for still active homepage : http://assembler.org/
Hrm...is it http://assembler.emugaming.com ? That's the oldest one i could find...I was confused the first time I found it...it was a little after I found the roarvgm page. Haha, I knew you had a geocities site at one point, it's just a helluva lot harder to find now. http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/Ginza/2271/pcengin.html Keropi's Yakuza Bar? oh, www.geocities.com/ranmaddict also works
http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/Ginza/2271/ http://www.geocities.com/ranmaddict/ http://www.geocities.com/escaflowne2271/ Three old sites. I remember the name Keroppi's Yakuza bar, but the Ginza site circa 1999 says Kappakappa's Yakuza bar. Neither of those are original name are they?
I used the internet archive...and on an old assembler page...he wrote that he started in 1995 with a geocities page called Keroppi's Yakuza Bar. With that, he listed the address of the geocities page from before he split onto emugaming and roar!.
Now if you can only figure out where the ansi comes from. a hint, you're on the right path with the usenet stuff.
Well, the best I can do, is this. I looked through the google usenet archives... and the only time I can find you referencing ANSI art is here "ansis Only 1 message in topic KEVIN O'CONNOR Feb 11 1996, 12:00 am show options Newsgroups: rec.games.video.advocacy From: KEVIN.O'CON...@141.magsystems.com (KEVIN O'CONNOR) - Find messages by this author Date: 1996/02/11 Subject: ansis Reply to Author | Forward | Print | Individual Message | Show original | Report Abuse Hi Jon, the ansi zips are uploaded. Look for arj files. " I can't find any other instance of it. I don't know where you uploaded those to though, so I'm stuck. I looked over most of your posts from around that time, but I couldn't find anything else reference ansi art.
Hehe, I very much doubt it madhatter! Well, I didn't find much - would've looked harder but then someone beat me to it! I did find the yahoo user ranmaddict, which would have linked me to geocities. Found it in a Melissa Joan Hart appreciation group Only usenet stuff I came across were some neo geo board, and something where you were saying you didn't know what a SC3000 was! Oh dear!
I recall seeing that one layout (www.geocities.com/ranmaddict) back when I was starting in college! There was a version with that same lady, but only in black, white and red, right? Or is it the same layout I remember?
ASCI or ANSI ? what is the right word for art made of symbols ? because i remember when i was reading the old crackers documents they say ASCI... so what is the right word for it ?
