    Like the title suggests - I'm looking for something to get my Dreamcast's VGA signal to my new HDMI-only TV.

    I want NATIVE 480p, not upscaled to 720/1080p
    It's ok to have both options however.

    All the ones I've found seem to output an upscaled image, 480p centered inside a 720/1080p outputted signal
    Anyone know of one to simply pass 480p - for cheap?

    I bought my VGA to HDMI adapter from monoprice. iirc (i'm not at home to test) it displays in 480p with no upscaling.

    I'd be curious to know the model, if in fact that's the case (no upscaling) - when you have a chance, thanks.

    So I ended up getting one of these used for $20.

    At first I thought it was bad, but figured out I needed to change to DVI or PC input setting on my Samy TV. Bingo! Picture looks amazing now!! Native 480p :)

    Monoprice is my go to for allot of things. It's cheaply made but costs so little it's no big thing to just get another replacement.

    I guess I spoke too soon. It's randomly losing signal now. Unplugging and replugging the power cable sometimes fixes it. "Gunlord" game holds picture good once it's running but "Capcom vs. SNK" goes nuts. It's like it loses sync every other second or something. My TV Info goes from "640x480p" to nothing / blank screen.

    I haven't tested yet, but I bet my laptop will not have this issue.

    ::sigh::
