Just been doing some reading of old thread (really old threads) and came across a guy called 'gavroche' posting around 3-4 years ago and wondered if anyone knew who this was? It looks like he only posted as a guest as his name is not on the member's list. Any info would be good, thanks
Hmm, just read a couple of his posts and this seems to be an interesting guy. He had some nice sales in the past. Probably OE knows who he is since he gave refs to the guy in his sales threads (don't know if that's correct english, probably not).
Yeh. I believe OE bought something from him and he went AWOL. Other members were also 'victims' of this. I do think things were settled, but I don't know.
Look like to guy registered as InvenTronix according to this post: http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8426&highlight=gavroche
Ancient members who have gone missing for various negative reasons are sometimes purged and their names are replaced with quaint aliases. Sounds like it could have been *edit*, but it's just a guess. After actually reading the cited posts I'm sure I never really followed this one.
Inventronix was/is the 'new' name for Gavroche. Unfortunately he had a lot of bad luck and a lot of bad business, which he never resolved with some of the members here. ...I never personally had a problem, and I know others also had good business with him. ...Basically to cut a long story short Gavroche ended up spending more out on dev items than what he took in, in other words he ran at a loss. This problem got worse with a few fairly significant (thousands of $$$) customs charges which really put the nail in the coffin. He had some pretty bad things happen to him in his personal life, which he's only now really starting to get to grips with.
I remember this as he was somewhere north of London but south of Birmingham if my memory serves me correctly. I know people were offering assistance to give him a kicking as a lot of monies was paid out and no goods....but he then came back sometime afterwards with an apology That was the last I remember of him
