) yeah think I need to edit the images, something went a bit Pete tong when they went up. The magazine? The One..it wasn't perfect, but it ran superb, in depth articles like this I never saw anywhere else and they interviewed more people than likes of RetroGamer did when doing a feature in EFPOTRM many years later, so feel it's held its value well over the years.
It was Nice mix of decent reviews, news and features without being as serious as ACE or going the humour route of Zero. I felt it waned when it split into separate magazines covering the ST and the Amiga.
A few examples from The One, along with Bitmap Bros/Tempest from ACE... It was exactly these types of features i sorely missed in later year UK games Magazines
