Yeah but that doesn't make sense to me because if you do electromagnetic tests you do that in a special laboratory and not in some creepy room with iron walls and a wooden desk :smt104

I'll play the DS on the Games Convention this week - let's see if it rocks.

Somehow I think they done these pictures in these sorroundings to hide where the pictures actually came from.Nintendo would stamp on people for releasing pictures such as this.

Looks like electronic interference testing, to see if it puts out any bad signals

it says the battery can be recharged 500 times... that's not that much is it? Let's hope Nintendo keeps producing batteries for the rest of eternity :smt009

  9. So, some of the original design DSs have made it out into the open??? to developers, I assume?

Wonder how much the first one to get onto Ebay will get to, before the auction is pulled? I'd certainly be interested in one.......

It's a polymer lion battery. Very cheap to make.
500 times is not much, nintendo knows what they are doing, just like the GBA battery.

Dead battery = Money selling new ones

I agree with s0urce, its odd that the ds is in a room that looks run down, and the fact that the furniture is very beat up, however it is possible that this is from a developer that is small. Still company usually work with stuff like this in air condition clean enviorments.

I think it must be to hide the identity of the person(s) responsible. Nintendo are notoriously tight when it comes to NDA's.

I read a review of the "new" Pokemon GBA game (with the wifi), and they (the mag) received a GBA with the game physically bolted in (some weird cage enclosed the GBA). Probably to make sure it wasn't dumped before release in Europe. This was in the Official Nintendo mag as well...
