So this title might not be descriptive enough but had this thought pass through my head The idea was stemming from a talk about the Fallout Van Buren iterations they went though, and how they somewhat hinted at the fact they know there's a playable build of sorts out there for anyone to play. Instances like this are interesting because if you look elsewhere like Capcom you see that they were very quiet about any builds or any form of "unfinished" data being available online for any of their games, and the only times they show they know is to shut it down in some way (RE0 N64, RE1.5, DMC, Megaman, etc) I like companies like Volition who are *very* open about this stuff and what they do or did or whatever else. It's interesting to me to see how some companies go full silent and some go yapping about everything going on. Anyone know of any instances that I'm describing? No games in particular to come to mind, but system wise the short interview about the Nintendo PlayStation with Shuhei Yoshida was a fun one
Honestly this impressed me quite a bit as well. That was a lot of fun to watch last year. I'd love for others to do the same or Volition to do more of that.
My guess is they don't want to draw attention to something they won't get money for but cost them (time, money, effort) to make. A lot of releases are seen by the industry as theft. Also these things were just projects to a lot of developers/publishers and they don't hold sentimental attachment - to some they even represent failure and no one likes reliving their own failures.
