I like Intellivision because it's smaller and has detachable controller but the BIOS inside prevents a few games (Coleco games specifically) from working. I was wondering if there's a way to get older BIOS from "fat" Intellivision installed in Intellivision 2. GI series chips uses weird address and data management so it will not be as simple as burning an EPROM and swapping it. Even EPROM card board for prototyping is huge as it needs numerous chips for decoding and encoding address and data between Intellivison and EPROM chips (http://www.avoidspikes.com/dsplib/intv/tcard.html for picture)

Is there a simpler solution than making a huge board to handle data and address oddities? Or am I limited to cannibalizing a ROM chip from fat Intellivision?
