    Hey,

I'm considering paring down the collection just a bit so I can afford to get my place fixed up for next year. I'm considering selling

    1) 10 Mil model, boxed (box in great condition) w/ controller, all inserts and styro (even has the foam wrap around the console inside the Styro. #035. Nice felt feel to the console. Mint aside from a missing parallel port cover on the back - I wouldn't have even noticed except that the previous seller let me know. I believe there are 4 known copies in collector hands, not all boxed.

    2) Launch Team XB. Imprinted silver signature of Bill Gates underneath jewel. Light green color, with Special Edition written on front. Bought directly from an engineer at Microsoft. Well less than 50 of these were made, under 10 in collector hands. Comes with 2 prototype large-style green controllers, never released to public. One was sold last week on ebay for 130 bucks BIN, and the BIN was snapped up the first day. ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/e...d=1&ssPageName=WDVW ).

I am not interested in selling either for under US1000. If you are seriously interested, PM or leave a post here. If there is enough interest, I'll most likely sell through silent auction on DP sometime in early August, to make it fair for
anyone who wanted to buy. I'm going to keep the lower value le's (green dev ps, blue dev ps, hilfiger gb, nes gba, etc.), but I do want to get my place out in Boston fixed up and could use the money.

As an asside, my friend got a pristine XBox launch edition for 350 over on the scene's buy/sell forum... tack on 80 bucks for the green duke he found on ebay.. it *may* be hard to get 1k for your "full set"... However, its a pretty neat piece in any case.. Are you numbers on correct?! only 50 made?!

Old Engineer is the one to ask as he has one and seems to know all the numbers :)

  8. Lol, although approximately 50 were produced nearly all were destroyed :(

...Btw a 'complete' one should have a few marked "Not For Resale" launch titles included, as purchased direct from the Microsoft Company Store.

...Even the figure of 10 in existence is a little on the optimistic side imo, I don't think I've ever been able to trace more than five and to my knowledge none of them have been 'complete' with the games, except mine of course, hehe.

You see you had to pay for the Console and the games, which was a tidy packet, even though you helped launch the damn things, as you can imagine not many employee's bothered at the time.

    Hope this helps.

Old Engineer is the guy who would know, as mentioned above. 350 for the system is an incredible deal. I track LE systems on ebay. There have been 5 sold on ebay (that I know about) which all went for 600-1200. I bought mine for 830 privately (from a guy at MS). I think the 600-1200 is on the lower end, since nearly all of these sold in the same two-week period. Essentially, one guy at MS sold his for almost 1200 and word spread around the office (or so I'm told). I would be amazed if another appeared on ebay this year. I think it's fair to say this is the rarest XB, slightly rarer than the "Launch Team Partner" XB and the white "EA Live" XB.

Again, if there's no interest at 1k, I'm going to keep it, but I figured I'd cast a line to see if anyone was interested in picking it up.
