Or just some more Videos by Yakumo !! Please i can almost feel being in japan when watch your japanes bars video, really great.

I recently watched karl pikingtons trip to japan, i really liked this also.

Not really a documentary, but well, it's Joe..

Joe goes to japan part 1
Joe goes to japan part 2
Joe goes to japan part 3

More interesting is probably the stuff they have on VICE, some real gems there, and they are actual documentaries. Including doll-fucking in the Vice Guide to Sex, tentacles and squid. oh well.
Here's the search page, i'd advise to take a free evening to watch some of these with an open mind and see what goes on in the more seedier places of the world.

I have a thread somewhere called "So YOu want to Live in Japan" at gamengai which is a link to another one, which is good. I'm thinking of writing another one one day when I catch up on my life, which more focuses on the macro than the micro. Nothing about missing comfort foods and good TV (since there's the internet!) but the aspect of devoting yourself to learning a culture/language that is becoming less and less of a player in the international community by the hour.
