so i was looking for rare gameboy and gameboy advance stuff and i found this so i was wondering if anybody knew about it or had any info on it
That's interesting. Does it have any ports to transfer ROMs onto it? Or does/did it come with some sort of dock?

Except that it connects to mp3games.net to download titles, and that site doesn't work any more. http://web.archive.org/web/20050322091850/http://www.mp3games.net/ Anyone know if the full version of the site (accessible with the software on the CD) still works?
http://web.archive.org/web/20040228140511/http://www.mp3games.net/content/help.htm And a list of all(?) the games. http://web.archive.org/web/20050322193139/http://www.mp3games.net/ndlgames/
It could might be reprogrammed to download your own files on your private server or even on any ROM site with direct link... It could even be reprogrammed to serve as media downloader don't you think ? *head full of dream*
I see the following text on the help page linked by MOP: "Using Nintendo® ROMs is ILLEGAL. We have taken every measure to ensure that this software may not be abused in such a manner. Any datafile found to be the property of Nintendo® or any Licenced developer, will be rejected." Wonder how that's implemented, in the software or the device itself...
I think it must be on the server side, it made better sense to do this easely on the software from the server host rather than locking hardware & complicate future revisions & updates. The hardware must only have a list of URLs to acces. I wonder how they are stocked and how it could be changed too.

If anyone is wondering how to play commerical games, here's how: 1. Download a commerical rom. (i will NOT tell you how to do this) 2. Download Gameboy ROM Image Editor from 3. Open GB Image Editor and open the rom file you wish to edit. 4. Click on the CLEAR button below the nintendo logo editor to clear the image. 5. Click on the CARTRIDGE tab 6. Erase the title and replace it with whatever you wish. 7. Set the Manufacturers code (Hex) to 0. 8. Click the SAVE tab and exit the program. 9. Open game downloader and click MY GAMES. 10. Import the newly changed file, it should have the title you changed now. 11. Load it as a regular game and it will work now.

I own one of these I bought it back in the day to work on some homebrew stuff and I can confirm the process that HIMFan posted works on these. I used to upload roms to the cart back in the day. I remember trying to play castlevania on it and it would complain. so I used a hex editor to remove the nintendo logo and just make it a black square like a bad ram dump and the game would play. I have the Manual, CDrom, and packaging insert (cardboard label) that if someone wanted I could upload not sure if it would help anyone or not. but the space on the cart is very limited like 1 rom at a time iirc
