Let's begin with the Least interesting (well...) but more believable, it's about revolution's power: here's the whole article, pretty technical but interesting. http://arstechnica.com/articles/paedia/hardware/revolution.ars And then..... The Nintendo Futuma! ''What makes this Rumor more interesting than any others is that the revolution design you see there is the old, post-e3 one. Now you wonder...where would a guy find that anyway? Nintendo also stated that the Console could be pluged to other kind of monitors, and not only tv ones. They gived pc monitor as an exemple.'' More info: http://www.joystiq.com http://www.playbomb.com/2005/11/01/18/nintendo-fortonafuturna-not-vr-but-cool/#more-18
Lucasart also commented a long time ago about the future of theatres, how the film industry is going to evolve and all and made a quick comment about how nintendo technology was interesting. Again, this is just a rumor, but you may never know. What do you think? Would nintendo really do that? what about the technology itself? is it expansive? seems like it could be a natural step forward in the video game industry. But i doubt the console would do that, coming from the core of it. Even with a plugable extension, it would be easier to use if it wasn't something In the console itself.
VERY interesting information....and VERY VERY, VERY revolutionary....IF this is what we are going to get, of course PS I think its Futurna, not Futuma ;P
Well that sure aint gonna fit in my entertainment center... The chances of that being in the final product are zilch. Everyone has brought up reasons why that would never work, but I can't think of a single positive you would gain. If you don't own a tv, the last thing you're going to need is a video game system. So that's out. It would be scalible, so you could increase the size of the display, but there is nowhere in my house i could set that up. Then you would need replacement bulbs for the projector, a large fan to keep the bulb cool, and it would suck power like it's 1999. It's one thing to "think different", it's another to build useless, expensive features into a video game console. The revolution will be televised..... *ProgrammingAce smashes his monitor with a hammer*
Even if i have a tv, i would get that thing. Buying an HDTV for video games? Mmm... And if playing the lights closed is the only problem, then it's really not that big.. It's even more immersive lights closed anyway. The only things i can agree with is the replacement bulbs and all... As for the ''guy that don't have a TV story'' .... welll.... i think this thing is aimed at hardcore gamers, that already play games (and have, by the same time, a TV.) . Haven't nintendo talked about playing games at different resolutions already? Edit: from what you can read in the ''scan'' that thing is suposed to amplify light.
For christ sake, if it did all this B.S. it would either be: - Shyte - So ridiculously expensive only 14 people worldwide would be able to afford it Cahaz, you really need to take a step back and think about this, you have bought into every "leak" and "inside information" no matter how ludicrous and far fetched.
I'm just saying it's a rumour, an interesting one. I wouldn't be talking about that if it wasn't of Miyamoto talking about how ''he'd like to make an home console without tv limits'' that ''revolution could be played on a Pc monitor'' all that HD thing and the fact that some magazines are speculating about new things to be surprised of. Even if a guy took Miyamoto's words to create a fake or anything, i still think it's interesting, as an idea. And i want to speculate about it, Talk about it. Not just saying ''Wow, this thing is Fucking too true'' or ''Cahaz, you're just an asshole who believes everything''. I think you don't really know how i am in life. As simple as that. I just like to think like no others would and play devil's advocate. Spice is the Fun of life. And believe me, I'm not a freak or a fan boy that believe everything he likes and throw away what he doesn't. i still wonder whick '' every "leak" and "inside information" no matter how ludicrous and far fetched.'' i believed though, now that i think you can understand the difference between believing, and doing what i do. This is the fun of it. You bring arguments or speculations, but you're not for one side or the other, so you're bringing some to both of them . That's how it should be . as for now, no one is it, so i'm helping/pushing it a bit This thread isn't just about that rumor folks, it's aslo about the power speculations and the suposed ''new name'' wich sounds way too off, imo.
If it is true then I think this is controlled information under the guies of a leak. if you catch my drift
Tachikoma is right cahaz. Every time I see a Revolution thread I know who has started it without even having to look. Most of the time it's not even official news from Nintendo, but from some third party, like IGN. Also, most of the threads you have started have a similar format: 1. Talk about some Revolution rumor with a link to the site where you got the info. (usually IGN) 2. Praise the Revolution for how innovative it will be when all you have to go on is speculations and rumors. No one is trying to be mean, and no one is calling you an ass. What were are trying to tell you is to step back, get a grip, and calm down. There's no need to make a new thread for every new Revolution rumor on the internet.
True, but I haven't found Cahaz's posts to be excessive...I didn't really notice that there were a lot of em... That said though...all those Xbox ones that were being posted awhile back were driving me nuts. Perhaps there should be a thread for each upcoming system...an all encompassing topic for each system where all rumors could be dumped.
I just find it fun that the revolution bring so many imaginative (and sometimes stupid)idea, and this is coming from anyone. Can't we just stop being too cerebral and and just enjoy things as they are and are not? And true, i like the concept behind the revo alot, and i can't/don't hide it. Anyway, If you don't like it, just don't read it.
