Interesting Xbox One Paperweight

I work for an Indie Retailer in Scotland, and about a week after the UK launch of the Xbox One I got this cool wee thing through the post.



I don't know where it came from, not my company that is for sure. It just showed up at my front door! It's still pretty cool

How big is it? Hard for me to tell from the picture.

 

I would expect that will have some good value in the coming years.

Super cool, hold on to it for a while and make sure you don't mark up the material. Do you know what it is? Lucite, glass...?

 

It's about 4inch by 2 inch. Seems to be glass. Pretty heavy.

Hmmm is there even a market for corporate statues? I have a few myself, but none video game related.

 

Hell, I'd buy something like that. Gaming items like this always have a special place in my heart.

That's good that it's not a cheap Lucite one. Keep that close, and while it shouldn't scratch, don't roughhouse it or anything.
You could always use the volume and weight to figure out the density, and use that number to find out what specific type of glass it is. It would be great to know just what kind of money M$ is giving out to people.

 

Those(not the design) are ~$10 at any tourist trap around the world...


You could probably have them custom made for not much more....

 

The first site I found starts at $139 for a small one, for a custom image job.

Not out of someone's faking budget, but certainly not cheap.

EDIT- frugal searching finds that you can get them for $70!

 

It looks nice actually, but doubt it will have much value in terms of someone paying big dollars for it.
