Intrest check: Anyone want to buy a TIMETOP GAMEKING????

Well the thing is the games are all pretty much ports of Famicom/Nes games (Bomberman, Double Dragon, SMB, Darkwing duck, etc.) They are somewhat playable, if you can stomach how primitive they are.

 

Hey I'm with you guys. I'm not in denial about either the primitive graphics or that everything is a unauthorized port. I'm just saying it's fun and oddly joyous to play familiar games in a new way. And because there's nothing about this boy that seems that intentional (it was just meant to be cheap. Period. No one was meaning to make anything special), and it's fun anyway, I find worthwhile, and worth exploration.

The Gameking might not win any beauty contests, but it's my view, after spending time with this gizmo, and playing ...85-90% of it's games, that it's inexplicably more than the sum of it's parts.

 

Yeah for what you pay for it's not a bad deal.

So, any updates for us 3rdman?

 

Actualy, thing are moving along, I've collected a fiar aount of requests, and the units are being sourced as we speak. I was hoping to have everything through customs by the end of march, but it may take an extra week or two. I'll keep everyone updated.
