It's not really going with the forum rules in this thread since we have a sticky for promoting sites however I though this may be of some interest to quite a few ASSEMbler members who don't bother to read the "Site Updates" thread. A brand new section has been added to the Movie Vault at Segagagadomain.com ! Yes, we now have Dreamcast videos as well as Saturn videos but these aren't just any ordinary Dreamcast videos. To celebrate the opening of the new section I've uploaded loads of 640x480 resolution clips of Dreamcast commercials, unreleased games including Black & White and De De Planet as well as Beta versions of games such as Phantasy Star Online. Not only that but you can also see Dreamcast the music video and the Shenmue theme played by a live orchestra! Screen grab from the Dreamcast music video (original size 640x480) Saturn fans can also enjoy a few new additions to the movie vault as well with the following new additions, 3D Lemmings, 3D Shooting The Finalist, 6 Inch My Darling, Actua Golf, Actua Soccer, Ai Iijima - Good Island Cafe, Air Managment '96, Air's Adventure, Akayashi Nindenku no Hitotsugai Plus, Akumajo Dracula X - Gekka No Yasoukyoku -, Albert Odyssey Gaiden -Legend Of Eldean - and Puzzle & Action Sound R. Can I be the first to make the joke "Is the picture a reference to the above game?" Nice adverts though, if my connection was faster then an ant taking a bit a mile down the road, back and forth then I would look at more...
Nice that you take the effort to capture\upload those movies, although a pity that you watermark them (what happend to the ftp-age were you uploaded all the movies without watermarking )
I got pissed off with other people using my videos saying that THEY owned the original proto or that THEY did all the work of capturing them. As you can guess it takes a lot of time to capture videos, edit them then convert them to flash. As for the FTP, I'm afraid that's no longer up and running. Have to save power these days now that there's an extra mouth to feed. Yakumo
Did anyone notice that one of the ships in that Geist Force promo is almost identical to Boba Fett's ship?
Maybe that's why it wasn't released. I'm sure Lucasarts is always on the lookout for stuff like that. Then again, they had a pretty good relationship with Sega during that era.
I seriously doubt the reason behind Geist Force's cancellation was a lawsuit from Lucasarts as we'd probably have known about this by now, though I can't help notice those similarities now the point has been made! Wasn't the real excuse for the loss of this quite promising-looking title its poor reception at the 1998 Tokyo Game Show, which also led to development of Sega Rally 2 being given a late handover back to its original AM creators?
That was the crap they told us but I don't buy that at all. Many complete turd games get released. Sega Rally 2 was still turd unless you did the lower detail code to get a solid frame rate. Yakumo
