I’ve posted here a couple of times, but we’ve never really introduced ourselves, so in a way we are sorta new to this forum.

My wife and I are are in our late 30s.

We have always been into the obscure and our gaming is no exception.

We both love retro-gaming, our “obscureâ€￾ systems are a Tomy Tutor, 3DO and TI-99/4a, but we also have
An Atari 2600, Genesis/Sega CD, Duo-R/PC-Engine, N64, NES, Jaguar, SNES, Saturn, Dreamcast, PS2, and a Gamecube with GBA player)

We play all kinds of games, retro and current,
and have a ps3, Xbox 360 and also a Wii

We are just getting into homebrew and collecting obscure and old back-up devices, though we are just starting with that. We are just getting into homebrew, and are going to start with the Jaguar.

We love all games, but especially the strange ones, the stranger the better!
Especially obscure stuff and stuff from Japan.
We play lots of Turn-based and rhythm games, though we also play 3rd person shooters and all kinds of stuff.

I love to make lists of obscure stuff, and am working on several over the last year (like all point-n-click games on consoles, my obscure system co-op game list, all rhythm games list, all Hudson games list, etc- There’s loads of existing lists on some of these, but none are comprehensive, etc. etc.)

(Right now, I'm getting some rhythm games from Japan through a deputy service, a bunch that I've never seen reviews of - we'll see if we can get past the Japanese!!!
I’ll have to list the names when I get time)

Anyway, if anyone here is in Humboldt (its on the coast and at the very top of the state, about an hour south of Oregon), drop us a line.....

Hey there, welcome to the boards!

Humboldt is very beautiful, been up there a few times. Lots of trees.

I'm 100% positive that you have posted this information before or was that in an email to me? Missyrelm, did you ever send an email to the owner of Segagaga Domain?

    Anyway, welcome to ASSEMbler

If you're getting into homebrew Dreamcast is one of the best consoles for it IMO. Even though the scene has died down some over the years.

Seeing a fully comprehensive list of point and click adventures for consoles would be interesting.

Are you nerdy swingers or something? Normally I'd say "too much information!" but I'm intrigued by your use of both "wife" and "back-up devices" in the same subject.. gives me hope about finding a girl (or few) to play with mine ;-)

Yesterday, I posted an intro on a few other forums, including segahub.org, as it's something that I've been meaning to do on more than one forum that I have lurked on. Perhaps, that is where you saw it?

But I have not sent an intro in an email to anyone that I can think of.

Welcome! As stated above the dreamcast is a great first machine for homebrew, but my personal favorite is the Xbox. I have 4 of them and have everything from entire television series to PSX emulators and beyond on them. Its alot of fun and well worth the investment of time to learn and understand them ;)

The Wii is also a up and comer for homebrew with its mouse like wii-mote its ideal for point and click games.
