So i got an Ipod shuffle from my sister and its the first time i've had an Ipod so am fairly new at using one with itunes.

Anyways i had some mp3's i converted to AAC and put them into Itunes then i synced them to my Ipod but when i disconnect it from the dock and turn it on it doesn't seem to have the tracks on it although the tracks show up when docked.I have made sure its not on shuffle and have went through every track and they are missing.

Make sure you haven't turned on the 'protected AAC' option.

Oh, and iPods can play MP3s.

Other than that - I'm not entirely certain what could be causing it. Do they play in iTunes?

They play in Itunes fine and they don't seem to be protected AAC's.

I converted them to reduce size as i had the original mp3's to the best possible quality so they were much bigger in size.
