Well it was bound to happen..........

My Ipod Shuffle 512 met its maker today....It was accidently forgotten in a pair of pants, and into the washer.....After a full cold water wash, followed buy a dry cycle, it was discovered....It doesnt power up, and I'm afraid to plug it into my computer

What hope lies for my old friend?...Is she really gone to the ipod's in the sky, or will she one day play Mr. Roboto again?

Only thing good, is that it came out looking cleaner, and smelling nicer...

    Any suggestions?

    Ryan:-( :crying: :noooo:

    1)Setup and account
2)Sell it on ebay and recoup your losses.
    3)close account:p

Make a video of you destroying it in various and unique ways (e.g. flamethrower, chainsaw, etc.) and put it on YouTube.

The best you could do is crack it open and look for damage. Most likely if the heat and jarring of the dryer didn't actually damage it, then it may be residue from the water and detergent or a loose connection somewhere that is the cause.

let it dry out for 3 days, seriously, then give it a whirl. It works... sometimes... is it still under warranty?

I dunno if its under warranty at all, since it was a special promotion shuffle

I recieved it from my mother, who works for TD Canada Trust(TD Waterhouse) and it features a td logo printed on it... Like previous things, TD purchases the items from a stock retailer, than opens them up carfully, places their logo on it, then reseals the packaging....so I really dont know lol

I wait a few days and see what happens, but from what I've seen, the shuffle is fairily well sealed up, and it was in a semi sealed pocket at the time, so i hope damage is minimal...

If not...I'm sure i can do something creative with it

    AND IT WORKED!!!.............

I still cant understand why it didnt work before...but now it does lmao
