Iron Hook has a bloody funny story to it and quite an amusing intro. Who's ever heard of a pirate looking for treasure in a topless Slot Machine Casino  Anyway, the Special Edition / Not for Sale version isn't worth anything unless someone is really after a copy of it. I doubt anyone here except for me and maybe Segafreal_NL even know what it is.

So what is special about the special edition? I assume something must be different.

It comes with something or another. (I forgot, but I can check if you want) I've come across a couple of copies (which weren't very expensive), so I don't think it's that rare.

    I don´t know ??

I have my Iron Hook Not For Sale from a friend, he make me a very good price.
The best will to see a price in Akibahara.
    If it´s really 777 copies, I think about 150Euros...? More ??

  10. I sold four on eBay during the last three years and all sold within a range of 30-60 Euros. So it should be well-known. The buyers have always been strong Saturn import game consumers. Wouldn't be too surprised if they were registered on this board.

Like Yakumo wrote, if someone is looking for a copy you can get a good price. Same here in Japan. I saw it selling from 210 Yen (I'm no kidding) to 5000+ Yen.

    *thread revived*

Anyone knows about its limitation? Was it really 777 like Thibaut constated or were it more? I can't believe that a game of which only 777 copies are available would go for bargain-prices like the copy I bought today (1000yen, complete).

Plus, were there 2 versions of it? One sold seperately and one book-version? Did they both have a spine?

well, I know a store that has the limited edition for a cheap price so I doubt there were only 777 made. This is the version in a long black card box, right?

    Yeah, it is.
    http://page16.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/u23404548

Just took a look at satakore.com, this one seemed to be the only version available including a spine-card. After my intention it is very rare although not being expensive. It's been a long time since I have seen a copy up on ebay (in fact, pink_revolvers was the last and I asked him for another back then too) or yahoo, not to mention that I never saw one for sale on any forums marketplace.
