Is a New Thermal Pad Squished a Bit to just 0.1mm Still Good to Use?

Hi. In gaming consoles, restoring, say your newly bought thermal pad (seller should have put squishable things in a box as due prudence) and it got squished bit by just 0.1mm. Is this pad still good or should I ask my money back (coz' for sure it'll be blamed on the courier by the seller even though the seller is partly at fault too for not putting it in protection) which would be a hassle.
