    Hello out there !

I saw a "complete?" IS-AGB-EMULATOR system at yahoo auctions some time ago.

Now I would like to know, how the games are controlled!!!

At www.intsys.co.jp they talk about a special DEBUGGER AGB unit.
Is it the same AGB LCD, which is used with the IS-AGB-CAPTURE or WIDE-BOY64 AGB?

And does anyone know, where to get a AGB LCD?

    Welcome, and nice find! :smt023

I don't know anyone that might have that, but some people around here might! :)

from the looks you just plug that cart on the side into a regular gba, gba sp, or ds, it seems that the data is sent into the cartridge thourgh the ribbion cable and you view the results on your gba screen.

It's not a regular AGB. The controller is a special unit that looks like an AGB, but lacks most internals. It's nothing more than a plastic shell with a screen, control pad, buttons and speaker. It connects via the ribbon cable. A regular AGB can't connect to the cable.

Hehe I use that every day at work (plus bought one off ebay :p)

the IS-GBC-DEBUGER is a cart emulator and debuger. To use you need a specialy modified GBA unit (which that auction might include since I see part of it on the side).

To interface with a PC you just need a standard SCSI 2 pci card and cable. On the PC side you must find some illegal site with the drivers & IS-Emulator software to upload the rom into the box.

Thank you subbie (and all the others who have posted)!!!

Unfortunately the special GBA unit is NOT included :-(
Bye the way, does anyone know if it is the same unit used with the WIDE-BOY64 AGB DEBUG?
I luckily own one of these, but I still have no controller unit!

    Any reply would be helpful...

I have to think about it but I think you might be able to use a wide-boy64 insted of the AGB unit but I think you still need a AGB probe (cart sticking out of the agb).

It's funny. It always seems like the modified AGB & Probe are harder to obtain then the actual IS-GBC-Debuger.

Its not the same as an LCD-AGB thats for sure. By the looks of it, it might be possible to use a standard AGB instead (only modified to get power from the probe, and maybe a reset).

EDIT: after opening my agb (for use with the emulator/debugger) I think its possible to modify a standard AGB and use that instead.
