Does the TurboGrafx-16/PC Engine have native 15KHz RGBHV CGA support? I know 15KHz RGBS is possible and aftermarket RGB SCART cables are available but what about creating custom CGA cables?

I saw this pinout of the expansion port and it has direct access to the video bus and the exp. port seems to output Composite Video, Left and Right Audio, Red, Green, Blue, C-Sync, H-Sync, and V-Sync.

Are we able to use these H-Sync and V-Sync signals to get CGA (or even VGA) or are they not usable in their current state? I don't own a TG-16/PCE so I wouldn't know much about them other than what I read online. Heck, I don't even have or know anyone who has a CGA monitor.

CGA. Why? I've used CGA. You're lucky you haven't.

The RGB on TG-16 are analog RGB and CGA expects 4 bits digital signal, EGA also similar. So those probably won't work or you'd get shitty color when analog signal are flattened to digital level.

There are RGB mod and cable that can be used with many basic RGB monitors like Commodore monitors and Sony PVM, It is not VGA compatible, VGA monitor expects 31KHz and may throw out "out of range" error, no picture, or scrambled picture.

Turbo Duo also can do RGB but you have to hack inside as Duo did not have expansion connector.
