I felt like I was doing something wrong when i was having all of my site's images hosted there (ALOT). But then I found out that they actually encourage it.. They stay up forever, have no bandwidth limits, and its free.... how could this be?? How do they operate?? Are they just some magical people who love doing people favors?? 100% no strings attached image hosting?? And NO limitations?? In fact you even get your own little area where you can keep track of your images.. There has got to be some kind of catch.... whats going on?
Maybe they'll start charging in a few month's time. If they're losing money now they'll make it back then. I've been wondering how they were doing it myself, it's a fantastic service.
I've been using Imageshack for about a year now and still my very first images are online :smt023 A wonderful service indeed :drinkers: Yakumo
Yeah, but isn't it imageshack where your photos are public? I remember one service, you just uploaded the photos, and say your url ended in /10004219 - you could go back through the numbers (or forward after a while) and see other people's pics! Can't remember if that was imageshack or not, though.
image shack rocks but I wish I could upload multiple pictures at once. I knew a guy who had his own server and allowed ppl at the one message board to use it wherever however his bandwith was eaten up fast and I doubt he'll bring it back.
if i remember right imageshack is founded by someone who got a shitload of money when the internetboom did happen but i think i have to check that back
You CAN upload multiple images at once.... go into "my account" and there is an option where you can do that.. You can only do it so many times a month I think though.. There is some sort of credit system for that...
