Seeing that the Wii is basically a heavily modified GameCube, I was wondering if the Game Boy Player could actually be wired up to a Wii? I know the immediate answer would be no, but if the Wii is backwards compatible via actual GameCube hardware, could the signals for the GC's high-speed port still be in there somewhere? If they are and its just a missing connector, could a new one be soldered onto the chips with the signals and therefore allow a Game Boy Player to run? I am really curious to how much of the GameCube's hardware is in the Wii.
