I was just wondering if it were possible to get a Sega RingEdge arcade unit (The higher end one) to run the Sega RingWide games (The lower end ones)?
If you mean install a RingWide game from DVD+Keychip, like MeltyBlood or Chaos Code on a RingEdge, is not possible. When you install from the DVD, the system checks for platform type and 2 or 3 checks more and then aborts. But if you want any RingWide game for RingEdge, i can supply you it on a 32Gbytes SSD remastered for work on RingEdge, but you need to have an original keychip on the RingEdge (any one, like MJ5 is ok).
So is that similar to a multi kit for one of the various pc based systems, I am guessing the games themselves are patched in some way, or does the game run just fine when it is put on the system since the checks are only done at install time?
Not, i don't do multi kits for RingEdge. Those Games are expensive like hell and very difficult to buy. I was talking about a single game on a 32GB SSD. Game not patched, still 100% original just remastered RingWide Game OS for work on a RingEdge.
