Is it possible to have a demon nand boot with a Dev kit and retail?

I have a Rgh Demon bought which boots either Rgh and then when demon not activated it is retail. I seen people on YouTube able to make Jtag/Rgh consoles into Dev kits if this really will work replacing Rgh freestyle/aurora will I be able to play debug files/games as a,Dev kit owner? Curious as to anyone's thoughts or if they have seen it done..
