Is it possible to speed up the xrgb mini's signal detection?

I've been using my xrgb mini for awhile now and I'm quite pleased by its picture quality! One thing that kinda bugs me is that it takes a few moments for it to detect that a console has been turned on, which usually results in the first few seconds of video being cut off. For consoles like the playstation and GameCube, this means part of the boot animation is cut off. It's not a huge issue, but I like these animations, so it kinda bugs me. Is there a way to avoid this boot delay?

I have the same issue with all my capture equipment and my receiver.. Maybe use some sort of powered splitter so the xrgb will leave the input enabled.

Ah, like a digital SCART switch? That sounds like it would work! Can anyone confirm?

I also am slightly annoyed by missing the intros to console/games. Maybe turn on and hold reset for a couple of seconds... that will at least give it time to grab the signal.

Just out of curiosity, does this delay also occur when a game switches from 240p to 480i?

Yes. It makes playing some games impossible. Resident evil 2 on n64 using the expansion pack for example.

I've got the same issue with Chrono Cross for PS1, the menus are 480i and the rest of the game is 240p, so it's a delay every time I want to use the menu D:
