You could open the audio track in something like SoundForge or any other sound editing tool and experiment with the various frequencies and various filters. Static noise or maybe noise caused by old analog formats can easily be somewhat "muted" (ofcourse at the cost of audio quality. But hey, you wont be distracted by the noise anymore, atleast, but audio can quickly sound a bit muffled/soft this way)
You can just take the audio yeah. What I do is download with "video downloader" on firefox. The I use total video converter and you have the option just to get the audio on the program.
As Carnivol said you can mess around with it that way, but as for actually taking the Audio and making it sound life-like/way-better, I dont know about that... :-(
To help with the process of getting something to work go to http://vixy.net/ All you need do is paste the Youtube URL, choose your output and hit the button.
Download the video using this website : http://video.qooqle.jp/dl/ Save it as a *.flv Then use the Free VIDEO LAN to convert it to a mpg Then use a demultiplexer (mpeg2vcr) to take the mp3 from the video (The way I often get some songs) Then you can edit in soundforge to try to make it sound better. Note that some video actually got good audio quality, but not all . -=FamilyGuy=-
i see, i already know how to rip audio, but i was searching for a way to enhance the audio of live VG performances i'm selecting... i'm making quite a great list! i have no clue about soundforge... is it easy to use? thanks a lot, karsten
You don't need Soundforge or to purchase anything at all. Start off by downloading Winamp Basic. The quality from YouTube is going to be in Mono, so just rip the music (I used Windows Sound Recorder and recorded till it was done, prolly not the best method) and save as 44KHz, 16-Bit, Stereo (it will still be in Mono, no magic yet). Now, theres a plugin I used to use for Winamp: Stereo Expander. It adds some effects that enhances the audio clip to sound "Stereo." Try that & see if you like it. From there, you can export that audio clip into a new audio clip (with those DSP settings) and add more effects from many other plugins found here: http://www.winamp.com/plugins/browse/5. They're all worth a try! I've already tried this on the YouTube clip: Chocolate Rain, dunno why..
Mark30001: why are you redfaced ? Since are you Tay Zonday ? then there is nothing to be ashamed off. Since even if you aren´t him, then his song isn´t bad at all. And his voice is great. And the music is what I call music.
Nah, I was just joking around. For those who are unfamiliar with Winamp, here's a guide: After installing Winamp & the Stereo Expander plugin, load & play the .wav file. While it's playing, go to Winamp Preferences (Ctrl+P), scroll down, and click 'DSP/Effect' under 'Plugins.' From there, you can click the Stereo Expander v1.0 [dsp_Stereo_Expander.dll] list option to hear the stereo effect. If you want to save the .wav file as a new file with effects, make sure the .wav file is the only audio file in the Winamp Playlist Editor and stop playing it, if it is. Go back to 'Preferences' and click 'Output,' also under 'Plugins.' Click the Nullsoft Disk Writer plug-in v2.11 [out_disk.dll] list option, then the 'Configure' button. At this next dialog box, you can set where you want the new .wav file to be created. When you're done, just play the file (it won't play but instead look as if it's fast-forwarding). Look in the folder you set it to, and there should be a new .wav file with the effects! Make sure you set the output plugin back to what it originally was before playing another file.
