Up until recently, I had no idea that Sega made an official S video Cable for the Dreamcast in Japan.

Is it rare? Is it moreso than an official VGA Box? The latter appears more frequently on ebay so...

    Thanks in advance.

I have one, I can't remember how I got it though, never though they were rare.

S-Video cables for the Dreamcast are not rare.

    However, the official brand...

    Hmm...

Come to think of it I can't remember ever seeing an official brand ever being sold. So...maybe they are.

Well that's a given for generic brand DC S video Cables which btw, a majority suck.

This is why I ask. Like I mentioned on the thread, I wasn't even aware of an official cable until very recent. Just a few days ago I found a used official DC S vid Cable for only $4 and in Great Condition!

They also made a rare system link cable instead of the crummy Dragoncast I would love to get a hold of. In terms of rarity I would say yes but not as much as the official Sega brand VGA boxes. Third party ones are scattered every where with varing results. But to get the real deal is uncommon.

I have the official link cable. I should do a video about it at some point.

Still need to get an official VGA box.

So Do I. Got it recently actually. CIB and for dirt cheap! I'm currently in process of purchasing 2 copies of VOOT JPN (yes I know 2 copies of the US version will also work with the cable) to put the cales to further use.

I own an official VGA box too.

You def should do a vid A.K.! You made one for the dubious Dragon Cast Vs cable so you may as well do one for the real deal.

It currently connected to one of my DC setups... but I did take a pic of it along side a nyko brand cable of the same type for my collection thread. You know where to go lol!

If you ever see another I will pay top dollar for one. And dont forget to get the 5.66 unlock disc that allows you to play your new mexh in any aspect if the game not just training. Same dev did a tunneling program to play VOOT online with other platers. Everyone always wonders how I got my mech when i pull out both virtua sticks the old dragoncast (have aNiB one in case my other fails till i can find a sega brand one. Outtrigger was supposed to have it but was left out of the game but the code to implement it is still in the JP version of outtrigger. Been trying to get yzb to hack it to re enable it as all needed code it there.
