Is the phantom ever going to come out?

Game sites were talking about it a few months ago, but it seems like it dissapeared (Like it always does). Wonder if it will ever come out, and if it will get support besides EA...

 

Didn't they already come out and say that the Phantom was not coming out?

 

News to me. I know they were having money troubles, but none of the major sites have said that it was canned.

Only reason I (and chances are, anyone on Assbembler), would buy it is for collection purposes.

 

IIRC, Slashdot had somewhat of an expose on the company behind the Phantom, and found via 10-K filings that they only had $250k left to their name and millions upon millions in debt.

I highly doubt it'll ever see the light of day.

seems like the phantom have a name that fit perfectly.

 

Actually, I read an article on GamesAreFun today, that the phantom developing team just run out of budget.

Apextreme is a DISCover based system that is pretty much the same thing as the phantom, i.e. play PC games on your TV.

It was supposed to be out by Christmas. Haven't heard about it being canceled though.

It looks like the case of the Phantom has been solved. Back to the Mystery Machine everyone.

 

It seems to me the only people that haven't yet realized that the Phantom is a lost cause are Infinium themselves.

 

At least there is one Phantom we can count on.

I'm not saying it's bad. Actually those systems had great built quality. At least the ones my friends had.

I'm just saying that they, Gradiente, were "very original" by just copying existing products instead of making their own design. :smt030
