Forgive me if this question has already been asked before, I'm nowhere near finished reading the bulk of this forum's posts. I am very curious to know if there is a video game console or portable that you could never bring yourself to part with and what reason. For me, that would be the Game Boy that my grandfather bought me in the summer of 1993. No amount of money could pry this thing from my hands because of the sheer sentimental value alone. Not to mention that it has never let me down and has always offered a good distraction for those times I've had some time to kill. To this day it still works perfectly. Aside from a little scuffing on the B and A buttons due to years of use, there's virtually no wear on it. It is true, if you take care of nice things they may very well last you a life time, or at least half of one.

Saturn though these days you'd have to surgically remove the Duel Shock 3 from my hands.

My original model 1 Sega Genesis. My mother had gotten it right after I was born. I took it when I left and still have it. I also will NOT part with my DS-16. Not really a console but an expansion for store demo unit Sega genesis systems. Took me 6 months to find it for a good price. You'll have to pry it from my cold dead hands and even then you will most likely fail. Combine the 2 together and I'm in heaven.

Agreed. It was also made the year of my birth, it was destiny. You shouldn't have put the "imho" at the end, though. It is just fact.:encouragement:

True that. The SNES and Genesis are worth more to me than my current gen consoles. Most likely worth more to me than the PS4 or X1. Greatest Era of gaming.

My Victor Wondermega RG-M1. Coolest looking console ever. I treat it as if it were my child. The only reason I would ever sell it would be if I got another one. I would like to have the Sega version, though I see no compelling reason to own that over the Victor - they're the same apart from a few small exterior differences. Personally I think it's kinda cool to see a Victor logo on a Mega Drive. The controller has a Victor logo on it as well.

Ideally I wouldn't part with any of my consoles, but most of the other ones are pretty easily replaceable - and in fact, several of them are duplicates, so it wouldn't matter much if I lost one or two of them.

Definitely my Skeleton This is Cool Saturn, and Black D-Direct Dreamcasts. Not that they are particularly rare but the Saturn especially is not likely to be emulated anytime soon and both offer gaming experiences that cannot be purchased on modern consoles.

Huh? Saturn has had good emulators (SSF comes to mind) for years. SSF, at least, has near perfect emulation. That said, the Saturn is still an awesome console, and I'd much rather play games on the original hardware than an emulator.

Is that so? I heard it was still not a 100% and was a bit fussy depending on graphics card/processor? Saying that, I don't really use emulation.

My Nintendo 64 my parents got me for Christmas in 96, it means too much to me to sell for any amount. Also I haven't really seen one mint like mine for a long time. It's the Australian exclusive pack with the purple controller :)

But of course, The Legendary Sega Dreamcast.

I could never get rid of that thing, Since I've had it I've been blown away of the modding and stuff still going on to it to these days.
