A friend give to me an Xbox 360 non hdmi console it does not output any video that got fixed. The problem is that it has an old dashboard of firmware what ever, I tried to do an update but it would not let me and give me an e66 error and one red light. I checked that problem and it seems that it was hacked, tampered or what ever people do to the dvd rom. Is there any easy way to put that back to original form so I can connect to the live and play in original form again? Remember easy way, I dont know any shit about xbox 360 hacking.
Box is probably banned due to modded DVD drive, you'd have to reflash the drive with its onriginal firmware and then contact Microsoft to request an un-ban. If you don't know how to do this you'll probably need to pay an experienced modder to re-flash the drive for you.
Box isn't banned, at least e66 doesn't indicate one. the drive is a Samsung which are problematic if they've been flashed and you've tried updating to a firmware that flashes the drive again. Reflash the drive with stock firmware or custom and you should be good to go.
The drive is a BenQ and with the usb I get it to update to the 2.0.13146.0 but any update after that it wont let me no matter which way. I was thinking that with the update it will restore everything to the original state but I was wrong. Too bad I can not ask too much it was given to me not working and got it to work I want it to play some xbox live arcade game that I like But I'll have to find another one not flashed or do something crazy and put an RGH to it.
It's a drive firmware error, I suppose it could happen on any drive. But try reflashing it with stock firmware and you should be able to update.
If its an old console, its also possible someone spoofed a benq into it. Which means stock firmware will not help you - you will need to try a samsung or the hitachis to find what supposed to be in there.
An Opus board is basically a Falcon (third mobo revision) w/o HDMI and a larger GPU die designed to fit in a Xenon case. They were not used in new systems. It was only used when refurbishing Xenon machines that needed motherboard replacements.
Well update, I flash the drive to the original stock firmware and got it to update the dashboard to the final one with the live, the console is not banned and is working great. Thanks everyone.
