I have found this game for the psx called WRC: arcade and it looks great on TV or monitor! http://www.gamefaqs.com/ps/582677-wrc-fia-world-rally-championship-arcade This game has only been released on Europe, so there is no alternative to PAL video mode. But it has no borders and it seems to run as fast as a NTSC release! I mean, it appears to be running at least 25, maybe 30 frames per second. I may be wrong, though, my eyes could be playing a trick on me. But 30fps wouldn't that mean the game would have to be verticaly de-sync and code optimized to achieve 30fps output? That isn't what PAL optimized games usually do, is it? So, is this a rare two-stage PAL optimized (borders and speed) game that looks and plays as good as the never-made NTSC version?
could very well be pal optimized yes. i know crash team racing pal version plays just about the same as the usa version
