What the hell is Sonic Eraser for Mega Drive ???? Surely that's a mistake? I've never even heard of any Meag Drive Sonic game called Sonic Eraser. Yakumo
I think it came with the sega channel modem thing. Not sure what it did, but I did read about it once. Mario paint style program perhaps?
yeah steadster right i heard of it on the sega network modem you downloaded it, it was a picture puzzle if i rember rightly or mabye not
I recall there being some type of system cleaning disc released in America for the Saturn that included a brief animation featuring Sonic and Tails. Going from memory, wasn't there a message saying "Let Sonic and Tails clean your Saturn! or something to that effect? I'd love to find out more regarding this obscure Sonic novelty item, along with that car air freshener as well...
http://www.videogameauctions.co.uk/auctiondetails.php?id=101455 Megatech version although technically its no different to the MD version, Can't remember if there is a Megaplay version as well.
Another novelty thing is the Sonic & Knuckles Collection CD-ROM for PC had a really cool screensaver on it, with great animation and a lot of tracks from the japanese Sonic CD along with some cool backgrounds, about 100 or something too. I've never been able to find any of the stuff for it online either....I would upload it for everyone but I moved and that game got lost in the process...maybe someone else has it?
It was a mini puzzle game, columns alike that you could download from the MegaNet using the MD japanese modem. Pretty simple, but you could even play it online with someone else. All this back in 1991
2 Megaplay Versions. Sonic 1 & Sonic 2 if i remember correctly but i´m not sure. maybe only Sonic 1 in a beta and a final version. I´ve played it on MAME and its all the same but only one difference to the MD Version: only 1 Minute time for a level. I´m not sure if its for all Level only 1 Minute but the first 3 Level are just 1 Minute. Megatech: mt_soni2 is the Mamerom Name for Sonic 2.
Oh dude, check it out, it's got cool animation....I haven't been able to find it anywhere online and usually I'm good at finding stuff.....and man.....Hard Off is such a great name....there's nowhere with a cool name like that here.....I also heard of a Japanese store called Violence Jack Off.....I wanna visit that some day.
yeah also missing the Tiger's Sonic and Sonic 2 handheld LCD games, Tiger's LCD wristwatch game and the board game edit: ooops I forgot I was in a search and bumped this 3 year old thread, sorry!
Maybe because they were never really available in Japan? Still, yeah, what a classic thread. Thanks for the bump. I had totally forgotten about that site. Yakumo
