It seems real enough. Who gives a shit, either way? People have been destroying consoles at launch for awhile now, it gets a rise out of people that are too weak to realize that an item purchased by another can be used in whichever way they please. It is also shrugged off by people like me who see it as pointless. Also, quit it with the cryptic titles, people. If you had typed, "Guy smashing PS4 at launch" for the thread title, then asked, "Is this real?" in the actual post, I wouldn't have wasted time opening the thread, watching the video, and posting this reply.
Although you can't really tell if that's a PS4, it's probably real. There was even a site when the PS3 came out where you could donate so they could get one to smash, which is most likely why this whole thing got this popular (relatively speaking).
Real. Some people do this for fun, I don't quite understand it. Even if you had the money to do so, why?
Well in the case of smashmyps3.com it was a group effort. People donated what little they could and even if it was only $1 a piece it wasn't exactly a sweat at $599, it's just fun to see a device smashed when it isn't going to cost you a lot of money.
I remember someone did the same thing with a "historical" painting not too long ago. Burned it right after the auction. Funny in a sense.
Lol @ the one guy who quickly snagged the harddrive! I would've gone for the controller, but what the heck
Sadly that video is in the vault with the one where people are doing cave paintings and another taken of Oswald from over the shoulder.
Seconded. These vauge postings really are annoying. Sometimes the content is so shallow it feels like post count fluffing.
See, that's not ok. A PS4 is replaceable and there will be many more. But art is finite and for posterity.
