Is this worth anything?

Im not "in" to Pokemon, but I used to be. I thought that this type of card was worth a lot. Am I wrong?
If not, I would like to sell it.

 

That was the gift they gave when you went to the cinema to see the Pokemon Movie, I doubt it's worth a great deal, maybe £3 at the very most.

 

Yeah, it was a promotional giveaway with the second Pokemon film I believe (as the first film you got one of 4 "promo" cards....none of which were Ancient Mew).

Pokemon cards have dropped in price quite alot over here (UK) but if you search around a bit you can get awesome deals. I sold a set of 9 Japanese promotional cards for £60

Some UK comic stores stock them in packs of 25 for about £5 though, so I guess its not worth much.

 

Crap. Maybe I could sell it on ebay for a lot.

Ahh that takes me back a few years when i used to spend a fortune on japanese pokemon cards.

The card you have is the 2nd version if ancient mew. I don't think pokemon cards go for that much nowdays. Back in the day you could have gotten at least £10 for it. The version 1 card with the glitter effect used to go for more like £90.

I have several cards that were worth a couple of hundred each, i stupidly held onto them instead of selling but nowdays id be lucky to get anything for them. :smt009

 

Thats the only thing I want to sell, though. I used to sell games and stuff a lot, but I havent for 2 years. Im not going to start back either...
