I have error codes that i try to fix and i just looked some up and i got a site called wiki errors. can you trust their solutions? Here is an example of of a fix for an error code http://www.wiki-errors.com/wiki-errors.php?wiki=80070652 I do not want to ruin my laptop anymore than i already have
Never heard of them, but you could simply lookup the error elsewhere (ie. google or in this particular case microsoft.com) and see if the information you find matches what's in wiki-errors. This doesn't guarantee anything, but it may make you feel more comfortable before using their suggestion. You could also check the website's "reputation" via WOT (web of trust), but then again, this doesn't guarantee anything.
It's bullshit. They offer a generic explanation and a generic solution that doesn't mean anything, and an error 'fixer' which is most likely a trojan of some kind.
Yeah that site looks like a scam to make you download their viruses/bots. The 'solution' to the particular error code you posted is to just use system restore!
Always use a trusted site - Microsoft's, for example. Google the error code and you'll likely get a decent answer. *EDIT* Moved to Off Topic. The wiki forum is actually for OUR wiki, not other wikis.
