I haven't had xbox live for the past two months due to having a new credit card and not updating my info but today I have full xbox live functionality and I haven't paid for it. Is anyone else getting this?
Not sure about that, but they properbly get your money or gave it for free. you can always try to contact them and ask
Why would you get banned? You could easily just say "I wasn't aware of my subscription running out". It's their screw up, I'm sure if they overcharged you or gave you less of something they'd stay quiet.
Update: live worked till this morning but now my xbox live account is suspended until payment options have been updated AND a payment made, even silver is suspended so now I cannot even use bbc iplayer or download demos etc till I've paid for membership! I can't even use a pre-paid scratch card it has to be a credit card that I don't even have anymore wtf do I do now?
Called them up and got a guy telling me that because my card expired when they had tried to take the payment from PayPal it was declined (shocking I know) but then they leave it connected and try again the following month (never ever heard of this before) now I'm basically indebted to Microsoft as they have let me have gold for a month without payment that they now want....so I'm suspended untill such time as a credit card payment is made which I cannot possibly do because I'm bankrupt and now not allowed by law any fucking credit and they won't accept a scratchcard even though I asked if I bought a 3 month pre-paid could they only give me 1 month and call it quits, no dice apparently
That's stupid. That really should be mentioned when you buy XBOX Live, unless it is (I don't use Live). Well since you've already GOT a Live card can't they just remove a month off that? Sounds like they're just being difficult for the sake of it.
That's what I said...but it's not just live ive lost (I only had it a year) it's the years of game saves and achievements that's pissing me off, the guy on the phone advised me "off the record" to start a new profile and be thankful they didn't do a console ban as that's happened before...bastards!!!!
That's not fair at all. This is another reason why I don't like XBOX Live. Their rules and stupid service annoy me. I got banned from a game while on my Gold trial, a warning would be nice... They are too quick on the ban hammer. I'd still call them up AGAIN, and demand the unban, you obviously were willing to pay as you have a scratch card. It's just a honest mistake with your card, that's just bullshit.
