Ok, So following up on my past topic over needing help integrating Title Update #4 into RESIDENT EVIL 5 so I can play the new DLC, I attempted Hawk's Games on Demand "GOD" method in many ways, but no matter how I converted the ISO into a GOD and thrown it into the right HDD Content Directory, when I would load my dash and open up the Games Library, the RESIDENT EVIL 5 game selection would pop up for a milli-second and then go away? Its obviously being detected, so what the hells shutting it down? I also noticied when I exited out of the Games Library, there are the 3 most current game boxes displayed right? Well RESIDENT EVIL 5 is one of them! So wtf is going on? Can anybody give me a hand please? Thank you so much! -Garrett :033:
The GOD file is signed for retail using these apps, crack open the main file in Le Fluffie and resign to either Dev pirs or Dev live and it will stick around! Enjoy! ¬wan5
So when you say, "main file," what exactly are you referring too? LOL There is the 00007000 sub folder, and then there is the 434307D4 file, and then there is the 434307D4 folder with about 46 files of game data. So??? I'm personally thinking you mean the outside file, but I wanna make sure before pulling my hair out. :banghead: : ) So????? Thanks wan5! -G
KK so this is what I did dude, Opened the "lonely" lol file up in Le Fluffie and it gave me the HDDWindow and I also loaded the data folder and then signed to Dev LIVE with Hash checked. Good to go? EDIT: Ok so its still not working. Same mili-second pop up and pop out problem. = / Have you wan, ever had this exact problem on a devkit and made it work with your method? If so man, pleeeease write me a detailed tutorial so I can get this working! > Thanks brutha! Please start tutorial from RETAIL- RESIDENT EVIL 5 .iso on desktop. Ready to be converted with iso2god. Do I make swap the .xex with Xbox Creator so that it is DevKit xex, or keep it the retail factory iso default xex before I convert??? Then please continue with tutorial. -G
Yes it needs to be the dev xex file before you convert it to god, i dont understand why its not showing up for you though, even as a retail xex file it should still show up, just not launch. Besides, packing it into a GOD container still wont help with your DLC issue, the xexp is ONLY for an untouched retail xex file, it will tell its been modified to dev and not consider the patch valid.
Alright wan I got RE5 working on Games on Demand. Loads and everything, but your right, can not update due to devkit .xex! >:O Can you help me find a solution to update??? Would the on disc method work??? Or is that still a no due to it having a DevKit modified xex on board? I just need a damn simple update to work. Bluuuuuuuuuuuuuh.
well the only way i know of is using xextool which you have tried already, updating titles can be a total pain in the arse on xedk's i have to admit.
