    It's obviously a bot and is for ads etc to make money.

    Have you never searched for things and seen this before? I find website that are snippets of random forum posts all the time.

    These fake website are a pain in the ass ! I came accross many of them while looking for news about many different things recently (Nintendo Switch, Blink 182, Carrie Fisher,....) and google is not able to identify them correctly at the moment.

    Yes the intertubes are seriously clogged with shit these days. Most of it is "being thrown in the same general direction" (SEO'd) though, so I find that using a search engine that everyone's not yet optimizing their bullshit sites for (i.e. mostly anything but Google; I use DDG) still works somewhat well.

    Nope. It's true that they're not running their own search index index and aggregate results from a bunch of sources instead, but Google isn't one of them, at least as far as we know. (But Bing is one of their sources, and they have been proven to steal from Google... Make of that what you will.)

    You are quite right. I may have been mixing it up with some linux distros swapping out google with duckduckgo.
